DADO strategic Objectives are:
- SO1: Sustainable Livelihoods, Food Security and Nutrition through an innovative and Resilient Agricultural and Livestock/Animal Management practices for Development.
- SO2: Strengthen the Capacity of Rural Agro-Pastoral Communities to Sustainably Manage and use Natural Resources; and Secure Land Rights for Food Security, Nutrition, WASH and Development, including Adapting to the effects of Climate Change.
- SO3: Promote and Protect Human Rights, Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution among the Pastoralists through Dialogue, Transformation for a Peaceful Co-existence
- SO4: To Develop and Strengthen DADO Organizational and Institutional capacity to effectively and efficiently contribute to the transformation of the agro-pastoral communities in Karamoja region
